In September, Apple launched a model of wireless headphones that has managed to arouse confusion between users who have so far had no older Airpods models. The new generation of airpods is present on the market in two different variants under the same name, airpods 4.

About this movement of Apple was known almost half a year before, but the specialized press assumed that a differentiation of names between the two AirPods models would be made.

What are the differences between the two Airpods 4 models?

If you have not had the Wireless Airpods and you want to buy the latest models, you need to know that the new generation Airpods is present on the market in two variants: AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation).

The simple model, Airpods 4, is cheaper by at least $ 50, but some important features are missing:

  • Active Noise Cancellation, Audio Adaptive and Transparency mode. That is, the function of reducing the ambient noise around you.
  • Conversation awareness. This feature allows you to wear a conversation without removing the headphones. When you start talking, the function automatically reduces the volume of music or podcast that you listen to and amplify the voice of the person you are talking to.
  • Location and finding service through the Find My Network.

In addition to these characteristics of auditory experience and localization through Find My, between the two variants differ in the loading housing. The AirPods 4 version with ANC supports wireless charging, including the Apple Watch charger, while the ANC version is limited only to loading via USB-C.

So, if you have a plan to buy Airpods 4, you have to be careful what option you choose, because although they have the same name, there are quite big differences between them.
