After a few series of Apple Watch that have not brought spectacular design elements, more and more rumors like Apple Watch Series 8 will have a major upgrade in terms of design and will be equipped with new sensors.

Even before the Apple Watch Series 7 is launched, it was rumored that it will be equipped with a sensor capable of measuring the temperature of the human body. External body temperature, of course. This did not happen because the allywhelm that calculates the temperature received from the sensors was completed too late to enter the Apple Watch 7 production process. As we know, Apple Watch 7 did not come up with any extra sensor in front of the previous series, Apple Watch 6. Only with a design shock that brought a screen with a slightly larger diagonal and slightly curved edges. A design very appreciated by Apple fans.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo in a post on Twitter, the Apple Watch Series 8 will receive this ability to measure body temperature only if its measurement algorithm will cope with the high standards set by Apple.

Could Apple Watch Series 8 measure body temperature?

This information has been present in the past on Bloomberg and Wall Street Journal, but until it becomes a reality, Apple has to cope with a quite complex algorithm. If for measuring the pulse and measuring the level of oxygen in the blood, the wrist is the ideal place, we all know that the measurement of body temperature is done in other parts of the human body.

Another problem is about hardware. There is no clock sensor capable of excluding the external temperature and measuring the temperature from a fixed point. We know that they are medical thermometers that can do this, but they are used only in a certain beach of outside temperatures. A hardware for this feature will have to be supported by a very exact algorithm capable of calculating body temperature both at negative and at heat temperatures. The allogorithm will therefore be the great challenge for Apple.

Other features that users expect on Apple Watch are: a facetime call camera and a sensor capable of measuring blood pressure. Both features could be possible starting with the Apple Watch Series 8.
