As speculated in the period preceding the launch event, Apple came up with three new iPhone models this fall. iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr. The latter being one iPhone with LCD screen, at one more affordable price than top models. A starting price of 749 dollars to which taxes will be added, reaching the market at a price of approx 800 Euro for the model with 64 GB of storage space. The price would increase by approximately 50 Euros for the 128 GB and 256 GB models, reaching a maximum of approximately 900 Euros for the 256 GB version. An affordable price according to Apple.

We do not know if those who have recently purchased one iPhone X "free" should it be officiated or not. iPhone Xs it is almost a faithful copy of the iPhone X, with small hardware upgrades and new variants of finishes / colors. Regarding the design, the hardware characteristics and the launch price, iPhone Xs it is a copy of the previous model, the iPhone X. This was probably the reason why Apple decided to withdraw the iPhone X from sale, together with the launch of the new models. As an addition to the design side, the new iPhone models come in three colors / finishes: Gold, Space Gray and Silver.

During the presentation event of the new iPhone models, Apple representatives made comparisons between the display of iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone Xs. The latter having a larger diagonal, although it is a smaller device in terms of dimensions. So far it is true, but as a total surface, the iPhone 8 Plus display (5.5 inches) is larger than the 5.8 inch iPhone Xs. The latter being a much narrower device and losing a few pixels at the notch. However, the density (ppi) is higher in the case of the iPhone Xs.

Good news for those who are used to subjecting their iPhone devices to extreme tests, is that the new models are water resistant. iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max can survive under water for approximately 30 minutes at a maximum depth of 2 meters.

With these top and new features chip A12 Bionic, Apple promises for the iPhone Xs a battery autonomy 30 minutes longer than that of the iPhone X, and 1 hour and 30 minutes longer for the iPhone Xs Max.

An absolute novelty is the introduction Dual-Sim and the transition from nano-SIM the e.g. iPhone XS si iPhone XS Max will no longer be compatible with the current nano-SIM cards, operators having to switch to eSIM technology. This implies the elimination of classic SIM cards and the transition to the built-in eSIM.
