Why iPhone 14 is not compatible on Telekom or Digi Romania
The first operator to introduce eSIM in Romania was Orange, followed by Vodafone. Both operators promoted the new digital SIM technology for a while, but it failed to gain popularity in Romania. Most customers not understanding the advantages of an eSIM instead of a physical SIM.
Both Apple and rivals from Samsung and other smartphone manufacturers introduced eSIM support a few years ago. They still left the physical SIM slot, especially for countries where there is no support for eSIM technology yet.
Apparently, on the official release date of the new iPhone 14, both Telekom and Digi Romania do not offer support for eSIM. Which means that the new iPhone 14 model is not compatible on Telekom or Digi Romania.
Vodafone and Orange Romania customers who plan to buy one of the new iPhone 14 models can be happy about this news. The operators offer support for eSIM and in addition they can hope that they will find the new models in the stock of retailers faster.

You should update this. Digi romania now offers esim for any phone. While they only have a small list of supported phones and they state that no other phone works, it works on any phone with esim. I tested it with an unsupported phone and it works really well.
