During the presentation event of the new devices, held at Steve Jobs Theater, Apple also revealed the new generation of wireless headphones, Airpods with Wireless QI.
Since last year, with the launch of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple has given up the traditional 2.5 mm audio jack, declaring that the technological future consists in eliminating wires and adopting wireless technology for auxiliary devices. It was a little strange at that time for Apple to talk about the future of wireless technology, because at that time Airpods were not yet launched (they appeared on the market only a few months later) and neither iPhone, Apple Watch or other devices were not supporting wireless charging.
A year away, Apple also came with the first wireless charging devices (standard Qi). Apple Watch Series 3, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X and new AirPods headphones supporting Wireless Qi. Standard that ensures the compatibility of Samsung, LG, Belkin and other manufacturers, with the latest Apple IDEVIs.
As technical specifications of AirPods, nothing changes compared to the previous generation. Wireless loading qi is the only different feature.

To complete the Apple ecosystem, the American company has also launched its first wireless charger. Airpower is the first Apple's first wireless charger, capable of simultaneously charging both an iPhone X, Apple Watch Series 3 and AirPods headphones and their battery housing.

iOS 11 and the new technological architecture of iPhone X will make it able to display on the screen the energy charge level for all the devices that are charged on Airpower.
The price for the new generation of airpods is $ 159 on the Apple Store, but given the evolution of prices in Romania, it is expected that this new generation will exceed 250 EUR for sale. This is if we consider that the first models of airpods are still sold for over 220 EUR.
