At the "Let Loose" event, Apple launched the new generation of iPad Pro M4, iPad Air M2 tablets and top accessories for them, such as a new model of Apple Pencil Pro and a new iPad Magic Keyboard dedicated to iPad Pro (2024) devices.
The seventh-generation iPad Pro makes almost every Mac model released to date look weak. The iPad Pro 2024 is equipped with an M4 processor and an OLED display, technologies that have not yet been found on any MacBook or Mac model.

iPad Pro M4, a very powerful "AI" processor
Although many expected the new generation of M4 processors to appear for the first time on Mac or MacBook devices (which are expected this fall – 2024), here Apple has decided to introduce this chip on the new generation of iPad Pro 2024. The new M4 chip is present on both the 11-inch iPad Pro tablets and the 13-inch iPad Pro version (the version to which Apple added 0.1 inch for the M4 models).
The performance of the new M4 chip, which it calls the AI processor, has impressive processing power on the iPad Pro 2024 tablets. The new M4 processor is built using an improved version of the 3nm process, which Apple says will give the new iPad Pro 50% more CPU performance and four times the GPU performance of the 2022 iPad Pro model, which has an M2 processor. In addition, the M4 offers dynamic cache and hardware support that improves the experience in games with advanced graphics and makes 3D rendering extremely fast.

The introduction of the M4 on the new generation iPad Pro, however, seems to be more of a marketing move that Apple is making before the release of future generations of Mac computers. Currently, if we are to go by the specifications provided by Apple, the iPad Pro M4 should be more powerful than any Mac computer with an M3 processor. However, things will not be like that. Apple could limit iPad Pro performance from iPadOS to avoid device overheating and power consumption.
As for the artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities of the M4 processor, we can't say much at the moment. It remains to be seen what it can do in various applications and operations.
OLED screen and webcam in landscape mode on the thinnest iPad Pro
Despite the ultra-performing M4 processor, the introduction of the new "Ultra Retina XDR" OLED displays I think is the most important and useful update of the new iPad Pro M4 2024 generation. Apple has added OLED screens to both the 11-inch model and the 13-inch iPad Pro M4.
The new OLED screen replaces the mini-LED display present on previous iPad models, offering a significant increase in image quality while also having a pretty big impact on power consumption. Compared to any other current technology, OLED is by far the best in many ways. The OLED technology on the iPad Pro M4 offers stronger contrast, vibrant colors, higher brightness and a very good visual experience.
Unlike mini-LED technology, OLED does not require a backlight. This feature comes with two additional benefits – the iPad Pro is thinner than ever and its display will have a reduced impact on battery life. According to the technical specifications, the new 13-inch iPad Pro M4 measures 5.1 mm thick (versus 6.4 mm previously) and weighs only 582 grams. The 11-inch variant is 5.3 mm thick (up from 5.9 mm previously) and weighs 446 grams.

Apple also boasts an interesting OLED technology called "tandem OLED". This technology uses a pair of OLED panels to achieve brightness similar to that of LCDs. The new iPad Pro can achieve a maximum HDR brightness of 1,600 nits and an SDR brightness of 1,000 nits. These numbers are impressive for an OLED tablet, although I should note that this is the same maximum brightness as the 2022 iPad Pro (M2).
An absolute novelty on the new iPad Pro M4 tablet models is the selfie camera, which is now arranged in landscape mode. This change is because most people use the iPad in landscape mode during video calls.
What is the lowest price for iPad Pro M4 2024
The lowest price for the iPad Pro M4 is $999 for the 11-inch Wi-Fi version with 256GB of storage, rising to a starting price of $1,299 for the 13-inch iPad Pro 2024 Wi-Fi.

In conclusion, the seventh generation iPad Pro (2024) brings more news than ever before to an Apple tablet. It is an iPad equipped with a very powerful processor (M4 chip) and OLED screen, which makes it great for advanced graphics and video editing.
