Apple devices are famous to be very resistant over time due to the hardware standards of Apple and their own operating system. It is a successful recipe for Apple, as proof, after 5 - 6 years of launch many iPhone models are still functional. However, on some devices time speaks its word and more and more users complain about the appearance of black stripes on the iPhone screen, especially on iPhone 11 and iPhone XR models. Most of the time, these stripes appear horizontally, at the top or at the bottom of the screen.

In the image below are two such examples of black stripes that appeared on the screen of some iPhone devices.

Why do black stripes appear on the iPhone screen and how can you solve this problem?

Black stripes on the iPhone screen often occur due to hardware failure. Physical or thermal actions can lead to these black stripes on the iPhone devices. Most of the time they occur when too high pressure has been placed on the LCD screen or if the iPhone has been exposed at high temperature. In some cases, these stripes change their dimensions depending on the temperature of the device or by simply pressing on the screen.

In most situations, these black stripes on the iPhone 11 or iPhone XR screen are solved by controlled thermal treatment and pressing. The operation is advisable to be done in an Apple authorized service or a service you trust.

Another solution is the replacement of the LCD screen, but the costs could be higher.
