We know it's not a curiosity for many, but I was wondering the other days, "How long has it been since I have not reinstalled the MAC operating system?“.

Normally, the maccos operating system should not be reinstalled very often. Compared to other operating systems, macos is very stable and access to the central files of the system is very difficult. In addition, the installed applications interact limited with the core files, which means that there is little chance that the OS will be affected major, so that it requires its reinstallation,
Upgrades again are not a problem. There are users who have made some major maccos version upgrades without making a reinstallation from scratch. This translates into years.

If you are curious to see how long you have installed the operating system on Mac, you must follow a few simple steps from the following tutorial:

1. Open the utility ”Console". (Cmd + Space kept" console "→ Enter).

2. In "consoles" we go to the left bar to "Log Reports", Then in the files in the right we seek and select"install.log“.

In this file, "Install.log" are kept all the data regarding the installations and uninstallations of components and applications on macos.

3. Roll to the first line in "Install.log" and the first information in that line, is the date on which it started to operate on the system. Date of installation of the operating system.

It is good to follow the operation that was performed at that first displayed in "Install.log". If you have used "Clean Mac" programs, most of the times the system logs, and the registered date will not be the installation of the macos system.

I've been writing passionately since 2004 about Windows and Linux operating systems, and since 2010 I've become a fan of Apple University. I'm currently writing tutorials for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, and other Apple devices.
