Since the version Sierra macOS, many users complained about the fact that the process “Photos Agent"Consume a lot of CPU. Sometimes it reaches itself to 180% load, thing that leads to delayed response of orders, blocking / delaying applications active and of course powerful sound cooler removedthe one who tries hard to cool CPU.

After upgrading from Sierra macOS at macOS High Sierra, I came across this quite stressful problem. Abnormal for a MacBook Pro who had no problems is Load.

In Activity Monitor, besides other processes responsible for the application Photos And of synchronizing in iCloud the media files, we see a very high consumption of CPU resources by "Photos Agent“.
From what I noticed, the problem is not constant and appears only in certain circumstances. At least so far, it only appeared after we did one poza or a screenshot cu iPhone or iPad. Both devices with My Photo Stream activated. Also the application ”Photos"From MacBook Pro It has this active gallery.

How can we make "Photos Agent" no longer consume many CPU resources

The simplest solution is to stop sincornizarea My Photo Stream pe Mac.
We open the Photos application, we go to the top menu to "Preferences…”, iCloud → We get the service ”My Photo Stream“.

Of course, in the above screenshot it can be seen that our cat is not impressed by these problems.

After deactivating My Photo Stream on Mac, everything should return to normal, and the Photos Agent service will no longer push CPU to extreme consumption.
The problem is present in some users of Sierra macOS and / or macOS High Sierra.
