Lately there have been more and more rumors that Apple is preparing OLED screens for the new generations of iPad Pro 2024 and a new Apple Pencil. These rumors are confirmed with the release of the first iPadOS 17.5 beta version, in which developers have found details about this technology.

Although the Apple company has not officially announced anything about the new generations of iPads with OLED screens, the source code of iPadOS 17.5 confirms the presence of this technology on future generations of iPads that will be released soon. So, after a long wait since the last release in October 2022, it seems that the next generation iPad Pro 2024 will bring a significant change in terms of display technology.

According to a recent report by DSCC (Display Supply Chain Consultants), the production of the new OLED screens encountered difficulties, thus delaying the launch of the new generations. Apparently, LG will be the main supplier for the 12.9-inch OLED screens, while both companies, LG and Samsung, will contribute to the production of the 11-inch screens.
