Just a few days after what OpenAI launched in the US the official ChatGPT app for iPhone, the number of countries has been expanded.
The ChatGPT app for iOS is now available in the UK, Albania, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Jamaica, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria, South Korea, Romania and several other European countries.
The release of the official app is a heavy blow to the developers who literally invaded the App Store with imitations of ChatGPT, using of course API OpenAI.

OpenAI has not made any official announcement in this regard, but has promised that the app will be available very soon in all countries where ChatGPT is allowed,
Features. The official ChatGPT app for iPhone (free)
The official ChatGPT app for iOS comes without ads, subscription or product placement. As in the web version, users can choose the ChatGPT Plus subscription, for the price of $20 / month, but it is absolutely optional.
I tested ChatGPT on an iPhone 14 Pro device. I can say that it runs extremely well without any interruptions, but just like in the web interface, the use of the application depends on the Internet connection.
The options in the free version are not very many, but the existing ones are quite practical. Quick access to conversation history with left-to-right swipe from outside the screen, start a new conversation with right-to-left swipe, copy options and select text from conversations.
Another very important feature is the voice dictation of prompts. For this voice dictation option to be active, you will need to give the ChatGPT app access to your iPhone's microphone.

The iPhone application is a very good alternative to the web version and for iPad tablet owners. Although not fully optimized, the official ChatGPT app can also be installed on iPad devices.
All you have to do is open it App Store on your iPad and install the ChatGPT app.
