Good news for Windows 11 users, iPhone phone holders! Microsoft has officially launched a Phone Link update that allows iPhone phone owners to synchronize them with Windows 11 operating system. IOS synchronization support for Windows 11 via Phone Link.
About this Phone Link capability I wrote in an article from the first half of this month, when I showed in a tutorial how you can do the synchronization between iPhone – Windows 11 (How to sync iPhone on Windows 11 using Phone Link).
For Android smartphone owners, Phone Link is commonplace. The application being launched by Microsoft since 2015, but until today, it has not been available for iPhone users, due to the restrictions imposed by Apple.
IOS synchronization support for Windows 11 via Phone Link
The IOS synchronization support for Windows 11, but also comes with a series of limitations, compared to Android - Windows 11.
The iPhone owners can take over the phone calls from the desktop, they can receive and send SMS text messages, but as for Imesages, there are some restrictions.
The Phone Link has restricted support for editing, deleting or handling IMESSAGES type messages, does not provide support for groups, sending messages, videos or other type of content.
Another important restriction is that users who have synchronized iPhone at Windows 11 by Phone Link, will not have access to the history of the conversations made on the iPhone. In the Phone Link application will only be the messages received and sent from the computer.
Even with these restrictions, the new iPhone - Windows 11 synchronization feature is very well received by users.
The announcement made by Microsoft on the official blog, has a fun part.

It seems that Microsoft knows something about what the future model will look like iPhone 15 or iPhone 20.
