Google Assistant vs. Siri on iPhone - experience matters! :)

Update:

Today I decided to do everything possible to install Google Assistant on an iPhone 7 that I was logged in a Apple Id from Romania. Following the tutorial here: goo.gl/1O1NXa I managed to get my install Google Apps And to put it a little to work.

The first flour is that he understands very well what you say. Compared to Siri, Google Assistant understood every time I asked for and offered me the requested results.

An example. I asked him "What will the weather be this weekend in Bucharest?". In short. In English, of course.

The answer came promptly. Both in writing on the iPhone and vocal screen. He also gave me a tip. "You would need an umbrella."

I did the same thing with Siri, to whom I asked the same question. The answer did not thank me at all.

Vocal, he did nothing but tell me "Here's what time will be in Bucharest for this weekend ..,"And showed me weather all week, compared to Google Assistant who offered me strictly on weekends. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Ah. It should be noted that the test is done on a Thursday.

Even more funny part was when I searched for a sporting goods store. Fortuna Sports. Siri I am inherited to have an allergy to hear the word "Fortuna". At the question"Where is Fortuna Sports?"Siri remains blocked immediately after" where is ".

I've tried and iPad and on the Macbook Pro. The result was the same. He was stuck without listening to any voice command. He got upset.

Most likely, Google Assistant used data collected from the search engine and made them contact with them through voice command. Normally, "Fortuna" and "Sports" are two simple words, but put together, understood that this is the Fortuna Sports store.

At the voice command "take me to..", Gave me the confirmation that he understood (vocal and text) and automatically opened the application Google Map Navigator with the route already configured. From my current location and to the Fortuna Sports store.

In conclusion, at two very simple tests, Siri was categorically detached from Google Assistant.

I don't think Apple in the future will be able to hold after Google Assistant in development of Siri. First of all, Google has a huge volume of data collected from the Google Search search engine, Android devices, advertising networks and other services that the company offers. In addition, Google has another experience in data manipulation and their use in applications. You may be wondering where Google Map knows when on an artery. On a road, it is the congested traffic and from where they know how to make estimates on the delays that can occur with that traffic. It's simple. From users who have Android phones in their pocket and are stuck in traffic will you think?

I've been writing passionately since 2004 about Windows and Linux operating systems, and since 2010 I've become a fan of Apple University. I'm currently writing tutorials for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods, and other Apple devices.
