Default, the buttons to open the two applications are available at the bottom of the lock screen (the lantern on the left, the camera app on the right), so that the user has quick access to them.
Starting with the iOS 18 version, you can change any of these two buttons, with other fast functions or applications. The same fast functions and options that are also available in the new Control Center.

1. Opens the iPhone screen, then press and hold on the lock screen until the customization option appears.
2. Choose Lock Screen customization. (Customize)
3. Press the minus (-) sign to remove the Flashlight app and the camera app.
After these steps, Flashlight apps and the camera on the iPhone lock screen were eliminated. Next, you will see how you can add other applications or functions on the lock screen.
4. Press on the plus (+) sign left free, then from the control gallery choose a quick option or application. As you will add the WhatsApp application instead of the Flashlight app, choose the "open app" in the Control Gallery.
5. Open the app list and choose the WhatsApp app or another app you want to add on the iPhone lock screen.
Next, you can choose another application instead of the camera on the lock screen of the iPhone.
This way you can replace the lanterns and camera applications with any other fast, utilities or applications installed on your iPhone.
This feature is only available for iPhone devices with iOS 18 operating system. The final version of iOS 18 will be launched in the fall of this year, with the new range of iPhone 16 devices.
