Among these functions, the Photos app now includes a "clean up" tool that allows you to eliminate people from a quick and easy picture, without the need for advanced graphic editing knowledge.
After playing with Image Playground, an application dedicated to generating texts based on text descriptions, it was a turn to test how the new Clean Up tool works in the Photos application on Mac.

How can you remove people from a picture on Mac or other elements.
In order to eliminate people from a picture on Mac or other elements with the Photos app, you must first of all install the Macos Sequoia 15.2 (or a newer version) version and a Mac compatible with Apple Intelligence (any model with M1 or newer).
For this tutorial I chose a picture from a beach, from which I want to eliminate people who are water and other people who are in a distant plane. I will leave in the picture only the girl with the surf plate and the boy who comes to her.
1. Import and open in the Photos application the picture from which you want to eliminate people or other items.
2. Click on the edit button on the right-side of the app.
3. Click on the "Clean Up" option in the upper bar in the Photos application, then wait for the image to be scanned. The elements and people who can be deleted from the image with a single click will be colored in purple / purple.
After people in the photo have been eliminated, some imperfections may occur, as can be seen in the image below. Persons in the distant plane have not been completely eliminated.
To delete the items that have not been automatically detected from the image, click left and select with the area you want to remove.
The result is absolutely spectacular. I managed to delete the desired people and elements from the picture.
4. Click on the yellow "Done" button at the top of the Photos application to save the changes.
In conclusion, the introduction of Apple Intelligence on Macos, iOS and iPados operating systems also means the development of existing applications. With just a few clicks you can remove people from a picture or other elements that you do not want to appear in the picture.
